What Does A First Visit Look Like?

Expect to be surprised

Be prepared to spend up to 90 minutes or more at your first appointment. This is where the practictioner learns all she can about you and your health history. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, every system in your body is connected as well as your psyche, emotional health and personality. I will review the personal health history form you submitted and ask more details in order to put a clear picture together of what patterns of imbalances you may be exibiting that are causing your symptoms.

I will observe your tongue, take a few pictures of it and quickly review what I notice and how it links to your patterns and symptoms.

I will then perform an Acugraph, a digital imaging of your energy pathways, called meridians or channels. This provides added information in developing your treatment plan.

You will receive a treatment based on the collective of information on one side of your body, likely the front. You will rest with needles in place for approximately 25 min.

When the needles come out, I will review what to anticipate over the next few days and confirm your follow-up visit.
