Did You Know

The foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments. Our feet are our shock absorbers and the foundation for all the joints and structure in the body above. Inappropriate shoes and aging eventually take their toll and we start to see impaired circulation in the lower extremities leading to symptoms like pain, swelling and varicosities, as well as issues such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, and arthritis. The loss of mobility and inhibited circulation leads to further decline in movement and cardiovascular health, which can also contribute to weight gain.

Our feet and ankles also  support proprioception, the ability for our body to communicate its position in space to our brain. This is  what allows us to maintain our balance and prevent the falls and subsequent injuries, especially to the elderly population. With every injury, the tissues become damaged, further inhibiting our proprioception.

Restore Your Foundation

Restoring proper anatomy and physiology of the feet can help reduce discomfort of your feet but also relieve many common conditions that Western medicine does not commonly associate with poor foot alignment.  Our othotic expert will spend 30 minutes with you to evaluate your feet and need for orthotics and fit your feet with the appropriate orthotics that you take home with you the same day. She will then follow-up with you either by phone or e-mail to assess how you are doing with with your new othotics.

If you need to come in for any additional evaluation within the first three months, that visit will be at no charge. If you are not happy with the results of your othotics after wearing them for the recommened amount of time, we will refund you the full amount of the orthotics when you return them. Our goal is Happy Feet!
